About the 2024 Fair Housing Conference
The Fair Housing Conference brings together leading policymakers, practitioners, advocates, and the public to share ideas and discuss current fair housing issues. Hosted by the City of Austin Office of Civil Rights, this annual event allows our community to reflect on the passage of the Fair Housing Act.
The conference will begin at 8:00 a.m. on April 16 with an opening and welcome followed by a pre-conference tour of Colony Park. The Colony Park Sustainable Community Bus Tour is an opportunity for conference attendees to tour the site of the future Colony Park Sustainable Community and existing adjacent neighborhoods in preparation for the construction of the upcoming community development.
On April 17, 2024, there will be a full day of workshops and panels 8 – 7 p.m. The day will conclude with a Resource Hub hosted by the City of Austin Housing Department from 3 – 7 p.m.
