This introductory course provides a comprehensive overview of Austin’s Great Streets Program and its role in shaping a walkable, safe, and vibrant downtown. Participants will learn:

•    Purpose and goals of the program
•    Where and when Great Streets standards apply
•    How these standards influence site plan design

The course will cover program boundaries, implementation triggers, required streetscape elements, and our coordination with partner departments. It also highlights common challenges and key submittal requirements to help applicants prepare before entering formal review.
