Crossing Braker Ln north south by the Domain and Pickle Research Campus (PRC) is very hard to do on foot. I waited through three cycles of the lights to get a walk signal today at 10:30 am. Better crosswalks and fair signalization are solutions. It would also be nice if the City helped UT to build sidewalks in and out of PRC.

Why not ... hold a city - wide contest, for everyone, to come up with a successful idea to safely and economically cross the street there? The best idea could be recognized at an upcoming City Council Meeting, and the person with the idea could either be recognized for same by City Council or perhaps appear with the Mayor and/or City Council?

I think something certainly needs to be done about this crossing. This is the major divide between all the neigborhoods east of Burnet and the Domain area. A pedestrian bridge may work, or even a park-like wide pedestrian bridge that would be landscaped and invite people not only to cross but to stay. .
